Zulily’s Search UX
This is a usability benchmark of the e-commerce search experience of Zulily and 49 other sites. The overall performance of Zulily is all but broken.
Some of Zulily’s biggest on-site search usability issues are due to broken Query Types, Results Logic & Guidance, and Results Filtering & Sorting. That said, their search experience performs well within Autocomplete.
All 50 sites were benchmarked across the 60 guidelines from the On-Site Search usability study. During our evaluation, the search engine and interface of Zulily adhered to 17 usability guidelines, violated 21, and scored neutral on 4 occasions, while a remaining 18 guidelines weren’t applicable.
