January 29 - Feb 2., 2018 · E-Commerce UX Training Workshops
Copenhagen (Denmark) is the only location in Europe where Baymard Institute offers its 5 E-Commerce UX Training Workshops and certification. With direct flights from almost all of Europe it’s no more than a few hours away.
You can download “UX Training Workshop in Copenhagen, Jan 29. - Feb 2., 2018” as a PDF file – it contains the full description of the UX training workshop, the topics, certification, costs, etc. This document is handy for passing around if you need to get internal approval to attend.
The UX training will be held at the nice and centrally located Hotel Kong Arthur. The address is Nørre Søgade 11, 1370 Copenhagen, Denmark.
Each of the workshop days begin at 9AM and ends at 5PM.
Getting to Copenhagen (airport code “CPH”) is easy with direct flights from nearly all larger European cities, as well as direct flights from major US cities (New York, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Boston, Washington, San Francisco, Los Angeles), and direct flights from cities like Toronto, Istanbul, Dubai, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tokyo, Bangkok, Shanghai, Beijing, etc.
See nearly all flights to Copenhagen.
Generally you do not need a VISA for entering Denmark if you have a valid passport from any EU-country, or a valid passport from countries like Norway, Switzerland, USA, Canada, Australia, or Japan. (See full list of countries that do and don’t require a VISA.)
The UX training venue is “Hotel Kong Arthur” (which also happens to be a nice hotel). The most convenient option is to stay at the venue itself Hotel Kong Arthur but the venue’s central location in Copenhagen means you also have plenty of hotel options within walking distance, e.g. Ibsens Hotel (2 min. walk).
Walk: If you are not staying at the venue “Hotel Kong Arthur” itself, there are good transportation options. Most likely the venue is within walking distance of your accommodation.
Metro: If you hotel is not within walking distance the best option will often be taking any metro or train to the station “Nørreport” and then walking 5 minutes from there. (This metro stop also has a direct line to Copenhagen Airport, a roughly 20 minute trip.)
Car: If you arrive by car then the hotel have paid parking (enter via Nansensgade 49), although traffic can be bad in this part of town, so we recommend arriving early.
If spending a bit of extra time in Copenhagen beyond the UX training, then there are plenty of things to do. See this and this guide, or ask anyone from the Baymard team at the UX training as they are locals.
