A large-scale research study on how to optimize the User Experience specifically ‘Consumables Subscription Services’ websites.
At Baymard Institute, we have conducted a large-scale website UX research study specifically focussing and testing ‘Consumables Subscription Service’ websites.
This research study on ‘Consumables Subscription Service’ websites cover sites that sell subscriptions for physical products that users consume or deplete on a regular basis – be it grocery box subscriptions, office supplies subscriptions, razor subscription, fashion subscription, etc.
The focus of this UX research study is specifically on how users react, evaluate, and make a purchasing decision on websites that sell physical products on a subscription basis, and less on the specific product type sold as a subscription. The tested Consumables Subscription Services websites tested includes Imperfect Foods, Hungryroot, ButcherBox, Crowd Cow, Oceanbox, and Sea to Table (along with meal kit sites such as Blue Apron, Dinnerly, Gobble, HelloFresh, Home Chef, and Sunbasket).
