This research study focus on how both Restaurant-to-Consumer and Platform-to-Consumer sites can improve the ordering UX and conversion rates of their mobile apps and websites.

Baymard’s Food Delivery UX research are based on more than 90 qualitative subject/site usability test sessions following the “Think Aloud” protocol. During testing, the users encountered 600+ medium-to-severe usability issues on the Food Delivery mobile apps and websites while locating the menu options, deciding on what food to order, customizing the food, and placing an order for delivery or pickup. It’s these issues have been analyzed and distilled into 350+ UX guidelines relevant for food delivery apps and sites.
